Cassandra Samantha Steele was born on December 2, 1989 in Canada . At the young age of 8 she became dedicated to gymnastics, often practicing 14 hours a week. This however became a problem when she wasn't able to attend classes due to transportation issues. However, Cassie soon found a new way to express herself by taking acting classes. Cassie started to seek auditions for roles in commercials, television shows, and movies when she was 10 years old. She was cat in several commercials before finally landing her first role as Young Syndy in the series the "Relic Hunter". In 2001, Cassie landed another role as Manny Santos in the "Degrassi: The Next Generation" series on CTV. Cassie was a 2003 nominee and the 2002 winner of a Young Artist Award for Best Ensemble Actor in a TV Series for Degrassi. She filmed three episodes for another CTV series “Instant Star” as the character Blu. Aside from acting Cassie also has a passion for singing. Her debut album, "How Much for Happy”, came out in the United States in July 2005. In 2007 Cassie made a cameo as Sophie in MTV’s “Super Sweet 16: The Movie”. Cassie is currently at work in Los Angeles on her sophomorealbum.
